Class hosted at our office located at Suite 3213, 380 Canyon Meadows Drive SE.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives. It is designed for healthcare providers and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings or by those in a healthcare training program.
This course covers High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, Chain of Survival, Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), Ventilations using a barrier device and bag-valve-mask, Multi-rescuer resuscitation, Team Dynamics, and Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants. Your certificate will be issued by the Heart & Stroke Foundation and will be valid for 1 year.
You are eligible to take a recertification course if:
* You have a current, non-expired Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support certificate (issued in last 12 months).
* If you have an expired Heart & Stroke BLS Certificate, you can still attend this class once you complete the BLS Renewal Prerequisite Challenge Certificate. BLS Provider Renewal Prerequisite Challenge (heartandstroke.ca)
You have a CPR card/certificate issued within the past 12 months from a different training provider (ie: Red Cross, St. John's, Lifesaving Society, etc.)
*A CPR mask is required to take this course. If you do not have one, please denote that in the mask preference drop down menu below. Frontline CPR is pleased to provide masks for a $10 fee, payable upon attendance.
* If you have any injuries or medical conditions that could hinder your ability to practice skills and perform skills testing, please discuss with instructor prior to registering.
* Course materials and test are in English, if you have any concerns regarding reading/writing/speaking or understanding English, please discuss with instructor prior to registering.
